The Gollenberg wrote flight history. Through Otto Lilienthal with his flight attempts and two Interflug pilots with their spectacular> Landing of the IL 62 <. The museums are closed on Mondays.

The Gollenberg is unlike any other mountain. It's a real-life experience of aviation history. Otto Lilienthal jumped here – and made history. Later, an East German plane landed – right in the middle of the field. Today, it stands there as if it had stepped out of time: the IL 62, the "Lady Agnes." An aircraft without a runway, but with a powerful memory. The place thrives on legends, but also on the landscape: fields, trees, paths – and a sky that's still perfect for takeoff.
