Torre Santa Sabina is a fraction of Carovigno and a famous seaside resort in Puglia with white sandy beaches and crystal clear waters. It owes its name to the tower that rises above the sea, according to legend built by the Knights Templar to defend pilgrims heading for the Crusades in the Holy Land. The tower visible today is the one rebuilt in the 16th century as an anti-Saracen watchtower.
