Vandring
The Mönchhofkapelle is a historic yet simple building. The chapel and the cemetery in front of it are not accessible. Worth seeing are the walls, the gate, the weather vane, the large cross and the old graves, some of whose inscriptions can be easily read from the outside.

History:
The chapel probably belonged to an early village called "Wüsteneddersheim". The Mönchhof with its chapel probably originated from this. It must have been thousands of believers who flocked to the Mönchhof for the church consecration on August 3 to get rid of their sins.
The Mönchhof chapel is the oldest surviving church in Raunheim. It stands untouched in the middle of a forest and guards the old Mönchhofer cemetery.

Wonderfully idyllic place in the area of the chapel directly on the Main, unfortunately not far from an industrial area.
