Vandring
The weir in Samborowo is not a real highlight for water hikers. As a rule, you have to portage here - and that over the railway tracks of the Olsztyn - Ostróda railway line. We moored 08/2021 on the west side, carried it over and used it again. Carrying it over the rails is also recommended in the official kayak guide - I felt a little queasy.

The weir in Samborowo may not be a highlight at first glance, but it tells a story of the connection between nature and technology. It is a challenge for water hikers, because here the canoe has to be taken out of the water and carried over - over the railway tracks of the Olsztyn-Ostróda line, of all places. Dragging the boat over the tracks is definitely not an everyday experience and it requires a little caution. The official kayak guide even recommends this approach, but even with the recommendation, a queasy feeling cannot be avoided.
