Søndersø Church was built around the 12th century. The church was consecrated to St. Peter and Paul in the Middle Ages, and the north chapel from the 16th century was consecrated to the Virgin Mary.
The tower was probably built in the late Middle Ages after the Reformation. Originally the tower had a north-south gable, which was replaced by a pyramid point in 1753.
The church is open to tourists and visitors every day of the week at 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. - but not in connection with private church activities.
