Shiva balanced the sacred Ganges River on his head and orbited the Earth. Upon landing, Shiva spilled a few drops of the Ganges, creating Lake Ganga Talao. Shiva predicted that one day the people of India would come to the island of Mauritius and seek out the lake as a holy site.
