The loop around the lake is recommended. It's easy to navigate. There are small observation points where you can take good photos.
The Calpe salt flats were used for salt production as early as Roman times and remained in operation until the 20th century. Today, they are a protected nature reserve and provide a protected habitat for numerous animal species. They are particularly known for their flamingos and other waterfowl, making them an ideal spot for birdwatchers. Paths around the salt flats offer impressive views of the Peñón de Ifach.

An approximately 20 hectare salt lake. It is a lagoon separated from the sea by two spits. The seawater saline was in operation until 1998. Today the body of water is a nature reserve and primarily serves as a habitat for birds, including a large colony of flamingos. (Source: Wikipedia)
The paths are passable by bike. If you are unsure, push the bike. Of course you have to share the paths with several pedestrians. Everyone should be considerate.
