This 18th-century pillory must have been preceded by an earlier medieval pillory. This one dates back to 1721, when the current town hall was built, when the town hall moved from Rua de Santa Maria de Cima to the building where it currently stands. It is a pillory made of a single prismatic block, with a base of five quadrangular steps, supported by a parallel tubular base, a smooth cylindrical shaft, crowned with a cubic block, with heraldic elements, topped with a ball.
