this is a nice central point on the Maashorst. From this point you have a beautiful view over the heathland with bison and Exmoor ponies. You can also see the catch bead in the distance.

You can recognize the bison by its slender build, hunchback, short horns and thick chestnut brown coat. Their slender build and short horns allow them to slalom effortlessly between the trees. Handy, because that's where they find the tastiest grasses, herbs, buds, leaves and bark. Bison are true ruminants. They peel more trees and shrubs than any other European herbivore.
