It is a unique object in the country, considered a masterpiece of baroque blacksmith art. City councilors decided to rebuild the water intake on Wrocławska Street in such a way as to effectively protect it against possible poisoning attempts and probably also against the evil charm of witches. The well has a pump secured by a solid grate. The inhabitants of Nysa drank water from the Beautiful Well from 1686 until 1880.
