Vandring
The Ebersberg was probably built on for the first time during the Staufer period at the beginning of the 12th century. The family of Ebersburg died out in the 15th century. After a fire in the castle, a palace was built in its current form by the Schöntal monastery around 1720. After the monks left in 1786, the castle and manor fell to Württemberg.
From the castle you have a wonderful view of the Backnanger Bay.

Entering the castle and / or tower unfortunately not allowed. Nevertheless, nice view and rest bench.

Please turn right onto the footpath just before the castle. Then after a few meters you will find the Lourdes Grotto, somewhat hidden on the left.
It is one of more than 200 Lourdes Grottoes in Germany - all replicas of the famous Lourdes Grotto in southern France.
Please continue on the path! It is a short circular route that is rewarded with a great view of Backnanger Bay and the castle (from below).
