In the rugged setting around the Waldbad Mark Schönstädt, the rock is still the main actor: the main part of the lake is surrounded by the reddish shimmering walls of the old quarry. Nevertheless, there is enough space for a lawn and a gentle entrance on the north side, from where you can enjoy the view in peace or start a round to the island in the lake. Due to its depth, the water is still refreshingly cool even in midsummer and appears through the shady rocks in dark blue ink colors.
