The cemetery church "Mariä Schutz" is often called the "Old Parish Church" because it was the lay church of Fischbachau during the monastery era, the first building of which was the church that was begun in 1085 and consecrated in 1087. Around 1630 this church received its early baroque stucco work in the style of the Miesbach masters.
