The botanical garden was created in 1906. It was built in Art Nouveau after the model of the botanical garden in Berlin. Here is also the "Marx's Villa."

A visit in the spring to autumn growing season is certainly more worthwhile than in the winter months.

Between 1906 and 1907, the manufacturer Carl Marx had built a villa opposite the city park with an Art Nouveau garden. He had a botanical garden built with about 550 varieties of roses, 200 rhododendron species, 50 species of barberry. The villa is unfortunately very in need of renovation
