Cykling

At the request of the Royal Railway Commission in Koblenz on August 22, 1877, the station was opened for passenger and freight traffic on November 1, 1877. Travelers from the Netherlands who wanted to go to Hassum station first had to drive through to Goch, go through customs there and then drive back to Hassum. In 1902, the provincial tax office therefore suggested moving customs clearance to Hassum. In 1908 the new station building with the adjoining customs office was in place.
