Sculpture "Flag in the Wind" by the sculptor Masayuki Nagare ( de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Masayuki_Nagare ). It is a gift from the Japanese government to the Museum of East Asian Art in 1979.

The museum construction goes back to the planning and drafts of the architect Kunio Maekawa. He was a student of Le Corbusier and Mies van der Rohes, which one can imagine in this building (compare the Barcelona Pavilion).
Not only does the museum have a fine art collection, the café (when open) is also recommended. Especially the Schmitz ice cream!
