The Dickbaumskreuz (Thick Tree Cross) was probably erected by Elector Clemens-August in 1750. The name refers to a tree that was noticeably thick at the time and is related to the field name "In der Dick." The so-called "Dickbaumskreuz" is a five-wound cross. Instead of the body of Christ, hands and feet are shown, as well as the heart at the intersection of the longitudinal and transverse beams and the crown of thorns at the very top.

Between the Rehsprungmaar and the Königsmaar, not far from Kottenforst station, stands the Dickbaumskreuz, probably built in 1750 by Elector Clemens-August. His name probably refers to a then conspicuously thick tree and is related to the field name "In the Dick".
