The Dreiweiberner See, which was created in 2002, is also part of the Lusatian Lake District.
It is 286 hectares in size and 37 meters deep.
Geographically it is east of Hoyerswerda between Lohsa and Dreiweibern.
The lake was created from the Werminghoff III opencast lignite mine.
After mining, the hole was flooded.
The lake has been usable as a local recreation area since 2005.

Cykling
The Lohsa beach is located on the southern shore of Lake Dreiweibern, approx. 200 m long. There is also a dog beach here. The glass pyramid, which houses a restaurant, is right on the beach. There is also a playground in the shape of a ship. A paved 8 km long circular lake path leads along the beach area.
