One of the most impressive and historical stations of the Sigwardsweg. Various women's communities have lived in the monastery since the 17th century - and this is still the case today. The Obernkirchen Abbey, which is over 850 years old, is still inhabited by four nuns. Here you can get married in a civil registry office and rent the west wing for events (with overnight accommodation).
If you just want to stroll through the venerable walls, you can also do it as part of a guided tour.
