I would like to add to my colleagues above that this border is not legal to cross unless you have before made arrangements with the border police of Montenegro - I talked to both the Police im Plužine and the border police in Šćepan Polje and that's what they told me.
But hey "Wo kein Richter da kein Henker" I guess; just beware to check the local laws when crossing non-Schengen borders.

The border is just a barrier on a small road. The road is quite steep and there are no opportunities to stop anywhere. There is also hardly any traffic. So bring enough electricity and food
