Vandring

Bad Schandau was mentioned in a document as early as 1445. Settlement began in the first half of the 14th century because it was a good place for commerce. Later in the 18th century the place developed into a health resort and is very nicely designed to this day.

The Elbe around Bad Schandau to Schmilka really flows from postcard motif to postcard motif, you can really hike here. There are hiking trails on both banks and you are always well served in the surrounding area.

Bad Schandau is a small Saxon town as well as a state-approved Kneipp cure and health resort in the district of Saxon Switzerland-Eastern Ore Mountains on the Elbe.
