Brigg Friederike Papenburg
The Friederike von Papenburg is a museum ship in the Emsland town of Papenburg in Lower Saxony and the town's landmark. The ship is a replica of a wooden brig with split topsails, simple topgallant yards and royal yards, as well as a bowsprit and inner and outer jib boom.

The Papenburg main canal is not one of the most beautiful promenades in northern Germany for nothing. Numerous well-stocked specialist shops, home-style restaurants and cafés invite visitors and guests to promenade and shop. In addition to the museum ship brig "Friederike von Papenburg", the city's landmark, other traditional ships made according to original plans anchor in the main canal and thus convey the unique maritime charm of the canal city. Varied events such as the city festival or the Papenburg summer also make the main canal a popular venue.
