The historic tram station of De Haan is one of the landmarks of the coastal village and dates from 1903. It is the only surviving stop of the coastal tramway from the so-called Belle Epoque. Meanwhile, the Tourist Office is located in the landmarked building. But the coastal tram stops here as well.

De Haan's picturesque tram station dates from the period 1875-1914, when the Belgian coastal tram system was first developed. The listed tram station is a beautiful example of the Anglo-Norman half-timbered style so typical of the Belle Époque architecture of our coast.
Over the years, the tram station became the seaside resort's flagship building. After the station was threatened with demolition in 1977, the municipality of De Haan purchased the building and repurposed it as a tourist office.
