The town hall is a national monument and is used as the wedding location of the municipality of Molenwaard. After the municipal reorganization as of January 1, 2019, this town hall will also be the location for official occasions of the new municipality of Molenlanden.
It is also the home base for the Nieuwpoort Historical Circle.
There is a museum established that includes an antiquity room.

Nieuwpoort is a small settlement town on the Lek. The historic city center is a protected cityscape and the beautiful town hall is certainly worth a visit.
