Lazise is a very old city. The roots go back to the Bronze Age and the walls and fortifications are a clear indication that in the Middle Ages it was also a fortress town.
The old town is worth seeing - there are many nice restaurants.
However, Lazise is also a tourist center - with all the advantages and disadvantages.

Lazise. My personal tip on the east bank. The old town center of Lazise (7,000 Ew.) Is still completely girded by the city fortifications from the 14th Century - only through three city gates to get into it. This is quieter than in the other places on the eastern shore. But beware. You are not alone. Nowhere on Lake Darda. Only in the course of the second section of the tour (Peschiera - Valeggio) is it quiet.

This lively place on the south-east of Lake Garda has a car-free medieval old town, which is surrounded by a well-preserved, crenellated city wall.
The narrow harbor basin with its lively waterfront stretches deep into the narrow streets and small squares. Cozy restaurants, bars and cafes are lined up here. In the colorful rows of houses in the old town center you can stroll and shop excellently and there is always something going on in Lazise in the evenings.
