Ripley Castle is a country mansion rather than a castle, and although privately owned, is open to the public for guided tours. There is a Castle Tearoom if you are in need of a mid ride cake and coffee.

In great condition for a 14th century house, Ripley Castle is a great place to stop for a break. You can pay £5 to access the gardens and grounds.
