The village church in Eggersham probably had an early medieval predecessor and was a private church of the nobles of Eggersham. The year 1493 is reminiscent of the late Gothic new building in the style of the Wexelberger school. The church is mostly made of unplastered brick, with the exception of the upper floor of the tower and later additions such as the sacristy and vestibule. The nave and the east apse have been preserved in the Gothic style, while a baroque bell house with an onion dome was added to the slender tower on the west wall.
