Mountainbiking

At the Hossa Visitor Centre you will find great souvenirs, but also maps and books about Hossa National Park. You can also have a coffee here before you start your outdoor adventure. In the summer months the visitor centre is open daily from 10 a.m. (see also: nationalparks.fi/hossavisitorcentre). Between June and August you can also reach this place by bus from Kuusamo. You can find the exact timetable on this homepage: matkahuolto.fi/en.

The Finnish Hossa National Park is located in the northern part of the municipality of Suomussalmi, west of the settlement of Hossa. It is Finland's 40th national park. The national park, which was established on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the independent state of Finland, was opened on June 17, 2017 by the President of the Republic of Finland Sauli Niinistö.
