Vandring
The iron jetty has to endure a lot. On some days, the Atlantic surf thunders onto the bridge at 50 t/m². The original jetty was built in 1905 as a wooden structure and was actually supposed to be 640 m long. World War II stopped that. The wooden bridge was quickly eaten away by worms and was completed in 1912 as a steel structure with a length of 262 m. At the end is the Jetty 1905 restaurant.

The old landing stage in Swakopmund, usually called the Jetty, is a former pier (pier) in the South Atlantic in what is now Namibia. It comes from the German colonial days of German South West Africa.
