Quite possibly the best road climb in the Peak District. This beautiful and quiet climb starts from just outside Hathersage and winds its way up to the top where there are amazing views towards Stanage edge and of the Gliding club. This climb is usually very quiet and is one of those amazing spots where you could just be a million miles from anywhere! At the time of writing (June 2021) this road has just reopened after being closed for a long period due to a landslide.

One of the best climbs in the peak imo. So close to civilisation, yet it feels so remote once you start climbing. You can stop and watch the gliders at the top or plough on to the Barrel at Bretton for a well earned drink!
