Vandring
The mountain is a cone eroded by streams of the central Swabian Alb in a western tributary of the Erms. Its plateau rises about 250m above the valley floor to an altitude of 711 m. He is thus about 50 m lower than the surrounded Alb plateau at "Rutschenhof", with which he is connected by a few meters wide ridge

The round mountain (711.2 m above sea level), on the eaves of the Swabian Alb, is named because of its oval shape. It towers about 250 m above the valley and is connected to the Alb plateau by a narrow saddle.
There were several prehistoric and early historical hilltop settlements on the Round Mountain plateau. The oldest finds on Runden Berg are dated to the early to middle Bronze Age, around 1600 BC. Chr.
