In the year was created in Döbeln the largest boot in the world. This, and the many shoemakers in the city should remind of this beautiful fountain from the year.

The fountain sculptures were created by the Dresden sculptor Vinzenz Wanitschke, who also worked on the reconstruction of the interior of the Dresden Frauenkirche.
The bronze was cast in the art and bell foundry in Lauchhammer.
The necessary water technology was installed by Eberhard Grundmann.
