The Monastery of Panagia Kosmosoteira (Our Lady, Savior of the World) includes a fortress wall (with towers and a gate) and a Catholicon (main church) in the style of the cross-in-square church with two columns and five domes. The iconographic decoration is a magnificent example of the high quality painting of the Constantinople School, dated to the 12th century. In the wall of the southeast corner is a clay ornament depicting an eagle. The narthex was torn down, unknown when.
The central apse was later repaired, and later the four outer pilasters as well.
