Behind the town hall is the magnificent Jardin du Mayeur. It is the ideal place to enjoy the carillon of the belfry. Le Jardin du Mayeur was created in the 1930s. Do the math: some of its trees are therefore three-quarters of a century old!

Le Jardin du Mayeur is located exactly behind the town hall and was founded around 1933. The best thing is to walk through a special underpass at the town hall, so that you can read at the exit on the right that this was actually a shelter during the Second World War! In the park you can relax well, unless you are sprayed wet by the street boy Ropieur. The garden is also a peaceful place and has another beautiful statue called Marcel Gillis, who was a painter, poet and songwriter who lived until 1972.
