Mountainbiking
For decades, the Kalker was a popular bathing lake in the region. Unfortunately, the tenant (Angelverein Winsen Aller) had increasing problems with young people and their understanding of how to behave in nature. After a drugged and drunk non-swimmer drowned in the water while playing ball in 2020, unfortunately nobody is allowed to swim here anymore. 🥺

Cykling
A nice place for fishing, swimming and walking with a fine sandy beach. The Kalka lakes are located on Hornbosteler Strasse between Winsen and Hornbostel. There are limited parking spaces at the roadside. A destination that is always worthwhile!
