People have probably lived here since the late Stone Age. The finds prove the settlement by people of the Veteřovský culture and the culture of the Lusatian garbage fields in the Bronze Age, as well as by people of the Platenic culture from the Hallstatt period (early Iron Age). In the 9th century, the Slavs had their seat here.
