At 1,984 meters above sea level, the Junsalm is the highest milking parlor in Europe. The cows grazing here feast on various alpine herbs - and you can taste them. No wonder that the Junser cheese is award-winning.
With a stop at the mountain cheese dairy Jausenstation Stoankfaser (“stone” and “cheese”) you will not only enjoy homemade alpine milk specialties. Every morning in summer you also have the opportunity to watch how the fresh milk is processed into butter and cheese!
