Protestant Marienkirche Roklum
The development of the Roklum Church began about 900 years ago with a small chapel on the highest point of the village, where the assembly and sacrifice site was at that time. According to legend, Heinrich the Lion had this chapel built in honor of Mary after the destruction of Halberstadt. The name of the place was also created in the process, it comes from the old language Rokel for smoke and later became Roklum.

Vandring
The church is a Romanesque house of worship, which has been expanded several times in an easterly and southerly direction. It is still located in the middle of the old churchyard, surrounded by the historically significant cemetery wall. You enter this area through a Gothic arch.
