Neuroda has a relatively large church, which is the seat of a Protestant parish. Affiliated churches of this parish are located in Kettmannshausen, Reinsfeld, Schmerfeld, Traßdorf and Wipfra. The Church of St. Mauritius is a hall church, which was built in the core around 1300. In the 14th century, the nave was raised and between 1720 and 1724 was a reconstruction of the church. It was damaged by fire in 1738 and restored by Johann Erhard Straßburger until 1740 (Wikipedia).
