On a hike through the Val Ferret, you measure the various altitudes, landscape types and types of use of the alpine cultural landscape, from Issert (around 1,000 meters) to Ferret (around 1,700 meters), from the low-lying meadows to the debris cones of the glaciers. Last farms and numerous holiday homes are scattered in an initially idyllic setting, which the higher you climb, the wilder landscape it becomes.
