The old town hall was the second city hall from 1531 to 1782. Above the archways are several years. Here is also a so-called vertex with the coat of arms of the city of Fulda and the coat of arms of Plazidus von Droste, who was from 1678 to 170 prince-abbot.

The Old Town Hall was not very representative at the end of the 1960s and was then partially reconstructed at great expense based on historical models. The project was controversial at the time, but it has contributed to the building being one of the most popular photo motifs in Fulda today.
