Lovely, mid 19th century, church with accompanying cemetery and grounds.
It was erected by the early settlers to this area. Land was purchased from Major family for $1 and original name was Wilderness Church. In recent years church is used only for special services. Popular TV series Road to Avonlea was recorded on these grounds.
Great break spot on you Durham tour.
