Chapel of Santa Maria in Campo dates back to the Romanesque period and is close to the Italian border and the Lanza Park. It was the destination of processions with frescoes of Santa Margherita and San Marco on the facade.

Also called the Chapel of Santa Maria in Campo, it is located a stone's throw from the border with Italy, in the open countryside, and probably belonged, along with other assets, to the convents of Como.
It is documented in 1437, but almost certainly dates back to the Romanesque era (10th-12th century). The small secluded church, "fori da la terra di Stabio" (1582), was an important destination for processions for the feast of San Marco, and for rogations.
On the facade there are the frescoes of Santa Margherita, San Marco and San Gottardo
