Though probably not the nicest part of London an important part of city development. Check out the Museum of London Docklands to get information about the transition from harbour to what it is now.

I love this area so much, there's just something about it. It's a really nice place to just walk around and take photos.

Simply facinating how the former harbour area transformed in the last 30 years from a worn down industrial quarter to a vivid financial district, but unlike the centre of London better mixed with housing areas. Where in the early years the last DLR departed 5 pm and anyone not making it was stuck here for the night recently the quarter is buzzing in the evenings and even the weekends.
