Today, the remains of the formerly important trade route across the Bernisse form a 7 km long recreational area, with lakes, bowls and ponds. Together with the banks with forests, marshy nature reserves and meadows, the area forms the connecting link between east and west Voorne-Putten and a good base for a walking or cycling tour.
