Coninxdonck Castle is also known as Sloover Castle. The current castle, a former country house called Coninxdonck, was built in the first quarter of the 19th century and replaced an older castle that belonged to Elisabeth Muysconinckx, the Lady of Coninxdonck, who had married Boudewijn Borluut in 1313.
An avenue planted with a hundred lime trees leads to the castle, the other avenues are lined with poplars.

Coninxdonck is a castle in Empire style (1st quarter 19th century), with a moated semi-closed farm, situated in a green zone from Gentbrugge to the Scheldt. The entire domain of 6.6 ha, including the cobbled road leading to it, is classified and surrounded by protected lands and lanes.
