Mountainbiking
It rises majestically in the center of the small square of Salignano, a hamlet of Castrignano del Capo. From 1550 it has a circular shape (d.20m, h.15m). It is preserved in excellent condition so as to be used for cultural activities.
This fort, born in the hinterland of Capo di Leuca and not along the coasts, could constitute a second line of defense in case of Turkish danger, a sort of rear guard to guarantee civilian populations.
