Cykling
The area, exploited for the extraction of "sand" (sand in Florentine) in the 60s and 70s, has been redeveloped as a park. Inside there is a swimming pool, some sports equipment, an equipped beach on the lake and many green areas as well as a bar and restaurant. The park can be reached from the center of Florence via a cycle path that runs along the Arno river, crosses the Cascine city park and continues along the river bank to the park.

Why was so much gravel poured in here and not just paved? We do not know it. So it is borderline with the racing bike, but with 28 mm tires it went well. Nice on the river and straight to Florence without cars!
