The small stone church in Gandenitz dates back to the 13th century. At first glance, the church seems rather unimpressive, but under the roof construction hides a secret. Since the church has never fallen victim to a fire, the roof of the nave is considered the oldest gothic roof truss in the entire Uckermark. The small bell tower, on the other hand, dates back to the 18th century.

If you like, you can also admire the restrained inner life. Mostly the church is open, otherwise you will find a clue on the door where you can get the key.

Mountainbiking

The picturesque village church made of half-timbered and field stones dates from the 13th century. The roof of the nave is one of the oldest in the Uckermark, but the half-timbered tower was not added until the 18th century. A bell from 1567 rings in the tower.

The church is mostly open during the day, otherwise there is a note for the church key on the church door.
