Very demanding pass with not very well maintained asphalt but the views are worth the effort.

The Lanzer Pass / Passo Lanza has it all! Especially in the second part many very steep places (12-15%), I had previously driven the Plöckenpass and then the places were pretty hard.
I didn't see any tunnels. The road is very narrow, only one lane, and is currently being repaved (end of July 2021), many places already have perfect pavement, I suspect this will be completed by the end of the 2021 season.
Precisely because the road is so narrow and leads through beautiful, remote landscapes, the pass is a real insider tip, highly recommended!

The pass goes up the mountain via two ramps. Straight out of Paularo it starts with double-digit percentages. There is also a short tunnel to be passed, which actually has a completely missing road surface. If the asphalt is otherwise OK, only rough stones can be seen in the tunnel. Caution is therefore advised, especially when coming from above.
Then there is a short flat section with a descent before it then goes all the way to the top. In terms of landscape, the pass always has pieces of cream ready.
